India Yamaha Motor to set up 4000 KW solar power plant at Surajpur facility

According to sources, India Yamaha Motor is setting up a 4000 KW solar power project at its Surajpur manufacturing plant. The company has partnered with solar service provider Amplus Solar for installation, operation and maintenance of the solar power system. The installation will get completed by April this year.

The solar power plant is expected to cut carbon dioxide emissions of approximately 138,000 metric tons and save approximately 10,20,000 barrels of crude oil annually.

The project was inaugurated by Hiroaki Fujita, chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group Companies, and Takashi Terabayashi, managing director, India Yamaha Motor.
